This may sound really dumb, but what’s the difference between a lock stitch and a straight stitch? Every time I speak with an “expert” I am told exactly the opposite of what the last guy told me… I would like to create leather dog collars/leashes… Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Oh, and where are you located and do you currently have any machines available?

Very well done video. And a cool machine too! I was considering a “Sailrite” for the heavy duty home use stuff I want to do. But now I am leaning more toward a used commercial setup like this. I would LOVE to have that machine!

This video is awesome! Thank you so much for posting it! That slow speed you can get is just amazing. The Singer 111 I bought doen’t have the knee lift or reverse, or that high lift….which now I can appreciate! But that servo motor…wow….*that* is worth the money!!!

Hey. Thanks for posting the video. I have an industrial sewing machine right now that I cant get working. It’s the same table and similar machine. It’s a Nakajima 181L-2. I have it threaded properly, I just dont know how to set the bobbin and rotating hook underneath. It keeps breaking needles and wont actually sew anything.
